Y.W.C.A. Tenant Improvement
Our office has completed the construction documents for a new home for the YWCA of Salem. Their tenant space is part
of a new multi-use 4 story building with low-income housing and retail space in the remaining square footage. The 12,500 s.f.
space will house all the YWCA programs as well as provide space for a kitchen, boardroom, dividable conference center,
classroom space, workroom, locker rooms, an inviting “living room” in the main building lobby and a resource room. The
conference center will be available to outside groups and the kitchen is set-up for future catering programs. Durable, easy
to maintain finishes were selected throughout the building. Stained concrete in the lobby will be a long lasting material for
years to come and withstand the foot traffic expected for the housing units on the floor above. Carpet tiles were selected for
the conference center to be extremely durable, easy to clean, maintain, and replace if needed.
