The City of Salem hired Arbuckle Costic to design a new Operations
Services Center to be located at the City Shops complex.
The OSC is designed to be a 63,218 sq. ft. building with
two stories to house all City operations in one place. Public
spaces will include customer service areas, conference/training
areas, cafeteria and restrooms. The building's design revolves
around a 24" x
72" lightwell/courtyard. Exterior materials include concrete, galvanized
metals and steel frame construction. The building was designed
with sustainable principles in mind, making use of natural
daylighting, solar exposure, and good drainage.
This project is currently on hold.
