Our firm was selected to conduct a preliminary study of existing facilities in preparation for a bond election. This project is a
120-bed corrections facility that houses maximum, medium, and minimum security inmates. Male and female facilities are
included. The three-quarter block site accommodates a 54,000 square foot building, 70 parking spaces, trash recycling,
and loading areas. |

Our firm assisted the Yamhill County Sheriff’s office with a preliminary planning study in preparation for a successful bond
election. We designed a 150-bed addition and remodel for the existing County jail facility. The project included new intake
and inmate housing for minimum, medium, and maximum security inmates in addition to housing for female inmates.
Remodeling took place in the existing jail to help reduce costs. The project substantially increased inmate population
at minimum cost and minimum increase in staff. |

An $11 million dollar, four-story, 63,000 s.f. addition to the Humboldt County Courthouse. Design includes 144 beds
(necessary to relieve severe overcrowding), dormitory-like living spaces and individual cells. This was the first phase
of a five-block City/County complex expansion that was to include facilities for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. |
